A while ago I bought this CD set: http://www.joyo.com/detail/product.asp?prodid=bkmu610380

The key thing was seeing a user comment saying, “This set should be every bit as famous as Bandari,” and, combined with the over-the-top introduction, I ended up buying it. But this set of discs really disappointed me—it’s nothing more than taking some classical music or easy listening and adding bird calls or the sound of running water and such. And this is supposed to be the sound of heaven? This is supposed to be natural music? With so little creativity, it can’t even begin to catch up to Bandari and George Winston; now that is what you call natural music!

Among CDs paired with so-called “natural sounds,” Forest Rhapsody is pretty good. And “Heart of the Ocean” from what seems to have been the same record company (?), I forget the name—I used one track from it before, “Galloping Rocks,” and it was pretty good too—but on the whole, after listening a few times, it just doesn’t do much for me. George Winston’s solo piano and Bandari are what really deserve to be called “natural music”; the others can only be called “nature + music.” They’re not in the same league. Of course, comparatively speaking, I still give George Winston the edge.

Let me post a Bandari piece~

Bandari is probably the most widely known easy-listening music nowadays. When I was in junior high, it was also one of the things that introduced me to music. Some people say it’s too quiet; others say it has a lot of covers of other people’s works. But I think there are still some gems in it after all.
My experience of listening to Bandari was a beautiful one. My “Boating Under the Moonlit Night” was something I thought of while listening to Bandari in my third year of junior high.
If you ask what my favorite is, it might be the piece “Childhood”; I don’t remember the names of the others.

A Night in the Forest is the first track on Sunshine Coast, and Childhood is the second. Sunshine Coast is one of the albums I like relatively more; Misty Forest and Dream Garden are pretty good too.
