I thought I should mention this: I heard that this piece comes from the new-age electronic music master Yanni, and that the original version should be “Large-Scale Modern Electronic Instrument Concert.” So I later went and bought two of Yanni’s CDs (http://www.amazon.cn/detail/product.asp?prodid=bkmu601517). Sure enough, all the pieces were large-scale electronic music, with this one alone still being a piano solo. It has now been found that this piece is taken from 1987’s Private Collection: Piano Solo 2, which should be the original version. 
Of course, compared with electronic music, I undoubtedly still prefer the piano~

Today, as soon as I walked in the door, I wanted to hear a kind of piano that was very light, very thin, yet very deep. I hummed it to myself and thought about it for a while, and suddenly remembered that it was the opening of this piece. 
The last time I listened, I really liked the opening; I didn’t like the more intense later part quite as much.
