I only glanced at a few episodes of the New Three Kingdoms television drama, and I haven’t read many related reviews either. At present I also do not want to offer any comment on the drama itself; works of that sort are not worth criticizing. I am merely using New Three Kingdoms to recall certain general phenomena of audiovisual works in this era. SB will be opening, and of course that’s not bad. I’ve always been in favor of this sort of large-scale celebratory event—in my view, throwing money at song, dance, and fireworks is better than throwing money at the Three Gorges Dam. Today I only read two sections, about the distinction between what is called the natural attitude and the phenomenological attitude. Simply put, the natural attitude is the non-reflective attitude of everyday life, whereas the phenomenological attitude is the reflective philosophical attitude.
